swing for a cause

it didn’t start as a Charity…

Swing for a Cause started with loss.

What began as a way to bring friends together and remember a brother gone too soon slowly became something bigger than anyone expected. It was never built as a charity event. It was built from grief, loyalty, and the kind of connection that only comes when people show up for each other.

Year after year, that gathering grew. More friends came. More businesses stepped in. More people felt the heart behind it. And as the event grew, so did the opportunity to turn that day of remembrance into real impact.

From a small crew coming together, to the donations we have been able to make, Swing for a Cause has become a movement rooted in memory, community, and purpose.

What started as a way to honour one life continues to grow into something that helps many.

It is not about looking good on paper.
It is not about a photo-op.
It is not about putting a logo beside the word “charity.”

It is about showing up, bringing people together, and using what we have to help where we can.

This movement was built the same way CMH was built: with hard work, loyalty, community, and heart.

Swing For a Cause - Golf Tournament

The Swing for a Cause Golf Tournament started the way a lot of good things do — with a small group of people, a reason to get together, and a story that mattered.

What began as a gathering between friends to remember a lost brother slowly grew into something bigger. Year after year, more people showed up. More businesses stepped in. More sponsors got behind it. And what started as a day of remembrance became a way to raise money, build connection, and create real impact in the community.

Now entering its 10th year, the Golf Tournament has become a cornerstone event for Swing for a Cause. It brings together trades, suppliers, local businesses, friends, families, and community members for a day that is about more than the game.

It is about honouring where it started.
It is about carrying the heart of it forward.
It is about raising money where it matters.

The course may be where we gather, but the purpose is what keeps people coming back.

Ten years in, this is more than a golf tournament.

It is a decade of drives, a decade of showing up, and a decade of turning loss into something that helps others.

Swing for a Cause- Sno-Pitch Tournament

The Swing for a Cause Sno-Pitch Tournament is gritty, cold, community-built, and full of heart.

This tournament was already something special. It had history, purpose, and people who cared about seeing it continue. When the previous founder came up against serious health issues, there was a real risk that the tournament could fade out.

That did not sit right with us.

CMH saw the need to step in, pick up the torch, and help bring the tournament back to life. Not to take over the story, but to carry it forward with respect, energy, and the same heart that built it in the first place.

Partnering with CJAY 92 in support of the CJAY 92 Kids Fund has given this event even deeper purpose. Every team, sponsor, donation, and person who shows up helps create impact for kids and families who need support.

Sno-pitch is not polished. It is not fancy. That is exactly what makes it powerful.

It is people in ball gloves, boots, jackets, and team jerseys showing up in the middle of winter to play hard, give back, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

This tournament is back for a reason.

And we are honoured to help keep it moving.

This has always been about more than golf, more than ball, and more than business. It’s about using what we have to help where we can.

Come for the game. Leave part of the impact.

Swing for a Cause events are built to be fun, competitive, and community-driven.

You do not need to know everyone.
You do not need to be the best golfer or ball player.
You do not need to come with anything other than a willingness to show up.

These events are about connection.

They are about people from different companies, trades, families, and communities coming together for a cause bigger than themselves.

You bring the team.

We will bring the purpose.
